The Kimberly-Shirk Docent Auxiliary (KSDA) is the dedicated and hard working docent auxiliary for Kimberly Crest House & Gardens. KSDA’s is a separate organization whose primary objective is to educate the public when visiting Kimberly Crest.

Trained docents conduct historic tours of the house and gardens, work in the Carriage House Gift Shop, support a wide variety of on-site events and educational programs for children and adults, and participate in administration activities, floral arranging, and exhibit preparation.

KSDA Membership Levels
The annual 5-week Docent Training Program is offered once a year beginning in January and is free of charge. To request a KSDA Docent Application, please email us or contact KSA directly at (909)79-2111.

Provisional Taking docent training, may attend Auxiliary meetings, and pays annual dues ($10)
Associate Must complete docent training, may attend Auxiliary meetings, pays annual dues ($10), can vote, and will fulfill the annual service hour requirement (33 hours)
Active Completed provisional requirements, may attend Auxiliary meetings, pays annual dues ($10), can vote or hold office, participates in and supports Auxiliary activities, and fulfills required annual service hours (33 hours)
Sustaining A status requested in writing by the member who has served for five years, may attend Auxiliary meetings, pay annual dues ($25), and can vote
Honorary Member is selected by a two-third’s vote of the Auxiliary Board for outstanding service or contribution to KSA, does not give tours or pay dues
